Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GeoWorkr ("GeoWorkr," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the GeoWorkr mobile and desktop applications and the geoworkr.com website (together, the "Service"). GeoWorkr is a workforce time-tracking product that companies ("Organizations") license and distribute to their own employees and contractors ("Team Members").

1. Who this policy applies to

GeoWorkr is used in two roles:

  • Organization Admins — the company that purchases GeoWorkr seats and invites staff.
  • Team Members — employees or contractors invited by an Organization to clock in, track time, and share job-site location while on the clock.

If you are a Team Member, your Organization is responsible for deciding to use GeoWorkr to track your work hours and location while clocked in. GeoWorkr acts as the Organization's service provider for this data. Questions about how your specific employer uses your data should first be directed to your employer; this policy explains how GeoWorkr itself handles that data on their behalf.

2. Information we collect

Account information. Name, email address, and organization/invite code provided at sign-up, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).

Location data. With your permission, GeoWorkr collects GPS location:

  • While using the app — to verify you are at a job site when you clock in or out, and to show your location on job-site maps.
  • In the background — only while your time-tracking timer is actively running, so your Organization can confirm you remained on-site for the duration of a shift. Background location stops as soon as you clock out. We request background location access (Android's "Allow all the time" permission) specifically to support this continuous, job-site verification use case; GeoWorkr does not collect your location when you are clocked out or when no timer is running.

Time-tracking data. Clock-in/clock-out timestamps, hours worked, assigned projects and tasks, and job-site/geofence associations.

Biometric authentication. If you enable Face ID, fingerprint, or similar device unlock for the app, authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. GeoWorkr never receives, stores, or transmits your biometric data — we only receive a yes/no confirmation that your device unlocked successfully.

Billing information. For Organization Admins who purchase seats, payment is processed by Stripe. GeoWorkr does not store full payment card numbers; Stripe handles and secures that data under its own privacy policy.

Device and usage data. Device type, operating system, app version, and basic diagnostic/crash data used to keep the Service reliable.

3. How we use information

  • To operate core features: clock-in/out verification, timesheets, job-site mapping, scheduling, and team activity reports.
  • To let Organization Admins manage their team: inviting members, assigning roles, deactivating/reactivating seats, and viewing reports limited to their own Organization's data.
  • To process billing and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
  • To secure accounts, prevent misuse, and maintain the reliability of the Service.
  • To communicate service-related notices, such as billing or security notifications.

We do not sell location data, time-tracking data, or any other personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Who can see your data

Data you generate (clock-ins, hours, location while clocked in) is visible to authorized Admins within your own Organization, for the purpose of managing attendance and payroll. GeoWorkr enforces data isolation between Organizations: one company's Admins cannot see another company's data. GeoWorkr employees access data only as needed to provide support or maintain the Service, under confidentiality obligations.

5. Data retention

We retain time-tracking and location records for as long as your account or your Organization's account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet payroll, tax, and legal recordkeeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. An Organization Admin may request deletion of their Organization's data, subject to legal retention requirements, by contacting us.

6. Your choices

  • You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings; doing so will prevent job-site clock-in verification from working while clocked in.
  • You can disable biometric app-lock at any time in the app's settings.
  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below, subject to your Organization's own records retention needs.

7. Children's privacy

GeoWorkr is a workplace tool intended for use by employees and contractors of Organization customers. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 16.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted network connections, hashed passwords, and per-organization data isolation, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be communicated directly to Organization Admins.
